Help me id this fish

It's not often that I disagree with Silurus, but I don't think the fish show in the photos is a Schizolecis , the dermal scutes aren't keeled strongly enough. I would expect it to be a Hisonotus spp. (formerly Microlepidogaster) frequently imported from Paraguay as "Otocinclus sp. Niger"

They are neat little Loricariids, they do quite well in planted aquariums and breed quite readily in a similar fashion to Corydoras. They scatter their eggs around the tank in various locations (plants, glass, wherever).

IMO Schizolecis is clearly different than that shown and is a MUCH rarer import.

Looked up both species, and I found a picture of a Hisantus leucofrenatus that's identical to my own fish.
