Camcorder for videoing fish with.

Post by AndrewC »

I am planning on buying a camcorder to video my fish with but with so many to choose from i am unsure what one to get.

When filming, before lights out i am going to sit a strip light above the tank and leave the strip light on, and also leave the camcorder sitting on a stool or tripod in front of the tank filming a specific cave or area of the tank, and leave the camcorder filming for as long as the memory card allows.
This way i hope to capture some decent video, though i realise it could take a good few attempts to get that.
I also want to be able to get some pictures (take still pictures from the video ?) from the camcorder video if possible, as maybe then i'll be able to capture the fish acting more natural.

Any recommendations on one will be appreciated, or what is best to look for when buying a camcorder ?
