Any body know what species this catfish is?

Had it for about 10 yrs but it is older than that.it is about approx.10-12 inches long

Your fish is a Hemibagrus of some sort, probably a very dark Asian redtail catfish (Hemibagrus wyckioides).
Got better pics? I can be more certain of the identification, then.
