When they were smaller, I thought they were small L24 or L25, although they came out of Columbia, rather than Belem, Brasil. In the last couple weeks, they really started turning YELLOW.

. Yes, they are illegal to import into the US albeit rather difficult to enforce. Search the forum for Lacey Act for more info.
