Hi!

Yes Panaque and other Loricariids are territorial and these can go up to biting each other really badly!!!
Cheers

It mostly depend on the size of the aquarium - I have two plecos in one 180 liter aquarium, and there´s no problem - but I think, that it´s a boy and a girl. . however I would never keep two Panaques in the same tank. .

The Malawi Cichlid Homepage has the gibby fight. I don't remember the address, but do a search and you'll find it.

i just put in my other albino gibby with my other albino gibby..
they seem to be shoving each other, :?:

can they cause real damage to each other?
i removed the other from my other arowana tank since the other aarowana ismuch more aggressive than the one they are in with now...

Yes, they can cause real damage to each other, including death. If they are fighting, separating would be a good idea.

Well - I can't agree!
I keep 5 Panaque nigrolineatus, 1 Panaque cochliodon and 5 L 114 in a 900ltr.-Aquarium where each has several caves to chose and lots of wood etc. and they go on peacefully since they started in the beginning to find out, which is the strongest. 8)
