Hello all,
this is my first post here. I like to look but have never posted.... anyways
someone from Russia posted this picture on Livejournal looking for an id for this fish. I thought of this site as it looks like a catfish... it looks reminiscent of a cory
Juvenile Brochis loke somewhat different from the adults. Large dorsal fin and some "spotted pattern" seems to be typical. Compare the B.splendens at the catelog.
looking at the mouth, it's a "longe nose"....somewhat like B.multiraditus...any counts of the dorsal rays possible?
Dorsal fin is longer than that from B.splendens...
My guess: juvenile B.multiradiatus.
It's just a guess...haven't seem them up to now....an hope, mine will do it in this season....
as joern said they almost definatly look like juvenile brochis possibly multiradiatus or britskii and as far as i can tell the young off these two sp have'nt been seen before
