Hello
I have a homemade aquarium with measurements of 70x25x40, it had a divider in it, which has also served as a brace. The glass is 6mm thick, now that I have removed divider/brace. Do i need a brace on top, when the aquarium is 25 cm high? What are you're thoughs, better be safe then sorry, or is the 6mm glass thick enough?
Regards Kristoffer

With 6mm glass I would add a brace.

Thanks for advice.
I ordered 2 pieces at the local glazier, just to be sure.
The aquarium is actually 80 cm.

Re: Do i need a brace?
I´ve had tanks of 80 * 40 * 40 (cm) made of 6 mm glass, without any brace
They were build in the 1980´s I think the silicon kit was not better than now in those years
