L52 is quite easy species to care for, the only thing that is important when you shall buy one is that they not are newly imported so they have been in "quarantine" for a couple of weeks, their belly is round and nice so they eat properly.

thanx, his fish are always quarantined for a few weeks, so no worries about that, will they eat blood worms and stuff? or just spirulina discs

I would not give them bloodworms but frozen Cyclops is fine, they are more to the herbivore type of pleco and are good alga eaters. Pleco tabs or spirulina tabs is good food combined with small insect larvae and cyclops.

(theres some in there so no issues if he does), and frozen cyclops, where might i find these? is this something one of my LFS will carry? can he have bloodworms or brine shrimp until i can make it to a good lfs that may have cyclops?

I've had a female for 5 years or so and she's doing great. Yes, they chew on driftwood.
On top of what Janne said, I also feed her, several times a week, blanched zucchini and yellow squash.
You can easily buy frozen cyclops online, DrsFosters&Smith, for instance, carry them.
Good luck!

I hope its safe to assume their dietry requirements are the same as L168.

If so, I feed all of above and also use a shrimp pellet to condition them, well it is really for the cories but the 168's charge out in broad daylight as soon as it hits the bottom (unless they are fanning)
and chase the cories off them.

Regards,
Brett
