Other foods

Post by T »

Just wondering what other veggie type foods can be fed to pl*cos.Mine currently get zuchini, cucumber, peas and lettuce(as well as meaty foods for the more carnivourous ones).

Can you feed them, aubergine, pumpkin or borccoli?

Dandilion leaves ore ok too yeah?

You can feed squash/pumpkins, zuchinni is after all a type of squash.

Sweet potato and yams work quite well you may want to think about including these sometime.

hi T
i feed tomato, sweet potato, potato,as well as the mentioned
i am at moment watching my parotocinclus maculicauda's
nibble on a bit of green pepper. they also will occasionally eat peach,
but they are very selective, on the peach ,, one day they will feed quite readily on it .
the next time they turn their noses up at it.

On occasion, I'll feed cheap rodent food: 100% alfalfa or buckwheat pellets.
My Ancistrus and Peckoltia gobble it up. My Panaque are only slighty pickier.

Thats cool I'll try pepper, my parotocinclus maculicaudas go wild for cucumber but dont seem to like zuchini(all the other pl*cos go wild for it).
