Breeding Chaetostoma milesi

Post by silvernes »

Well I currently only have one (Herbert, formely of Charlotte & Herbert - but that happens when you get fish from a bad store :() so maybe I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here :D But has any planet catfisher had any luck breeding rubber-nosed plecos?

I'm a sucker for the cute-ugly look & I just love my little guy now :) I would assume breeding them would be very similar to breeding any other catfish or pleco.

Look under the Reproduction Articles in Shane's World for a Chaetostoma spawning report.

Thanks!

I'll get some more & move them back into the corydora tank then :)

Have you had any luck since getting another spawn from them?

Do you have soft/acidic water or hard water? (I keep soft/acidic in my cory tanks & that seems very condusive to spawning).

Herb's still only a bit over 1" so I've got a few months yet :D
