looking at the pattern on the caudal and caudal peduncle I think your fish is probably O. mariae

Thanx gys...looking at the pics i think the first can probably be O.mariae, but second looks to me like O.macrospilus!!

This is possible, cuz i was buying some Gastromyzon myersi from that LFS and i have found that there are two kind of hillstream loaches("spotted one", and "zebra pattern") in the same tank...
...maybe there are two kinds od Oto's in other tank...???

I too would guess that they're two different species of oto, and that whatever species they are is probably close to O. macrospilus and mariae. And that they're definitely not affinis.

However, I'm by no means an expert on the group, but based on my experience with identifying Otocinclus vittatus and O. flexilis, my guess is that it'll prove very difficult to confidently identify those fishes to species. Without microscopic examination I think it's hard to give a better ID than that both are in the "macrospilus group".

I would like to see the caudal pattern before I make any kind of ID on the fish in the second picture.
