Error message when updating keepers report

Hi Jools,

Today I was updating my keeper's data on

Microsynodontis sp(1)

. I received this error message.

Also, inexplicably, although the edit page shows in still keeping the fish (7 years now), the externally displayed data suggests I kept only a few months and the narrative comments have extra text.


This is what the external display shows:

(p: 2, k: 32) since 2017-04-03 to 2017-06-04, that's 0 years, 2 months; who writes, "After one month, lost one fish. Appeared to have bloat.", "Spawned once successfully. Behavior not observed."

This is what I see on the edit screen:

Keeping: from 2017-04-03 (to present)
Notes: Spawned once successfully. Behavior not observed.

Fixed, the first one. The remainder need more brains! Will get to them soon.

I had a look at the second issue, it works for me. I thought possibly I fixed it since being reported, but when I look at that one record, it does show an incorrect date. Looking into it.

Hi Eric,

So, the issue here is what to do. There are two My Cats records belonging to you for

Microsynodontis sp(1)

. The first is was created 2017-05-09 and marked as stopped keeping, 2017-06-04. A second record was then created 2017-06-04 which are the fishes you have kept and bred. I am trying to figure out how to represent that on this page:

I think it needs to ignore the record which you've stopped keeping, but if I do, then how long folks have kept the fish is lost. Maybe I need to make it work with multiple records.

Hi Jools,

Thanks for the update. Yeah, I see the problem. I don't think merging this is best, but then I can't suggest how to fix it.
