A friend of mine who keeps (legally) North American fishes had a pair of adult (smallest is 10 cm SL, largest is between 11-12cm SL) brindled madtoms that were harassing other fish in his tank. He offered the pair to me today and let's just say it was an offer I couldn't refuse.
Considering their ecology and tank preferences, I'm putting them in my 40 gallon "toilet flush" tank with my .
He said the pair has spawned at least once in his tank, as he found two small fry a while back. In my tank, their new home, hopefully they thrive, and more! . ... To be continued.
Cheers, Eric
