Out on a family trip for a relative's birthday in Chicago. Yesterday was a trip to the Shedd Aquarium. They have a nice series of displays in their Amazon exhibit. Didn’t get pics of all the catfishes I saw, but got a few.

There was also a nice tank with a school of . I expected P. pictus, but I wasn't sure; the fish looked old and I don't know how their patterns change or vary with age.

Our little 2 year old got tired so we didn't make it to the Asian Waters section, but I'm sure it was good too.

Cheers, Eric

Great to see, thank you Eric so much!

Our P. pictus haven't changed so much with age so far (~7yo). IIRC Shedd has a very large group of them with perhaps other Pimelodus mixed in.

Sadly, I didn't get a picture or video of the Pimelodus. There were a lot. Maybe 15-25? I don't recall but the group was very active. Really reinforced to me that these are a schooling (or at least shoaling) fish.

Cheers, Eric
