here is something new. colour morph bred from normal parents.
currently raising 2nd gen to see if they hold their colour.

This can be explaind, assuming the parents, most likely brother and sister, are both carriers for this color.

In most cases, an unusual color means lack of parts of the normal pattern, and that would mean that breeding a normal one with a olored one, would result in 100 % normal colored offspring, all being carriers for the color (inheritance laws from Mendel)

Being carriers, their offspring would be for some 25 % (note, tis is a statistical number, in practice it will neven be exactly 25 %) colored. However, chances are the colored ones are weaker, and that could result in far less than 25 % colored ones.

Further breeding the colored ones would result in 100 % colored offspring. However, inbreeding does result in less viability in the offspring, you better cross in unrelated normal colored parents, bringing fresh genes into the breeding stock.

Be cautious with this one.

The body shape is more short bodied, which isn't ideal for breeding. Combining this with inbreeding is risky.
