One male as noted in an earlier post has darkened. Also of note is that the tail pattern changed too. He doesn’t have the vertical wavy bar, just dots. The female has retained her pattern and bar on the tail.

Moved the T intermedia to the tank where I had held the T musaicus. I added an Aquaclear 50 as a water mover.

Keeping this thread going... a late christmas present from my T.intermedia group!
Tintermedia Eggs.jpg
Hope that I can raise most of them this time. Have figured out to get high hatch rate, only ever get 20-30% to salable size! Would like to get that number up over 50% if possible.

Fairly certain that all 3 have crammed themselves inside.

One of my intermedia is starting to develop bleached spots on its body. As soon as he stops swimming he starts to list to one side. The white spot near the caudal is slightly raised. I have offered them to a local hobbyist who has a soft water well.

REALLY hope that I dont jinks myself, but I think I have cracked the code on how to raise T.Intermedia fry at higher % rates. Probably got 95% hatch rate and now at 2 weeks have 95% survival!
Key seems to be taking very fine powdered food and mixing it into the water along with microworms. In the past I just sprinkled it on the top and did not mix it in. Also lots of water changes just by raising and lowering the breeder box a few times a day.
I have to travel for work for 2 days next week so hoping that they will be big enough to be able to stand that at 3 weeks of age.
Not sure what Im going to do with all of them if they all survive!
