What is the different btw L025 and L114

Post by hanleong »

Being a newbie, I have jump into this hobby because of the few (of the many) plecos that caught my attention.. and one of the first ones.. is a L025 scarlet

However the L-25 is off season in Jan now and I was offered a L114 instead, and it was claimed that both are very similar, but L114 is much cheaper

other than the cost, can you guys help to point out what are the differences?

Hi Mate,

All the pictures I see are of L25 , maybe I aam missing something !

THe L114 is a striking fish with some similarities but is quite noticeably different. Look at the CatE Log under L114 and you will see what I amean. The L114 has a leopard like pattern over the body and bears a faint resemblance to a Gibbiceps with red fins.

By the way I would have thought that you should be able to obtain both species at present.. we can.

TRue the L114 is always much cheaper ..must be the availability I guess.
