L397 babies escape breeder box

Just when things were going great. Last night the top popped off the ziss breeder box. With just a tiny area ontop seemed all the babies escaped.
A little redemption I found a dozen babies all on the back of my eheim powerhead. I netted the pump and saved many babies.

Any ideas on how I can attract dozens of babies living in the tank? I want to raise them separately.
I was thinking a cucumber in a small sunken ziss breeder. Occasionally I trap them in the caves but there are many always showing up.

Anyone have success raising babies in the parents tank.

I know your pain. It's happened to me before too. Fortunately, L397 babies do really well raised in the tank with their parents, as long as you have plenty of hiding crevices and no other meaner fish. Just leave them alone.

Good luck, Eric

Thanks so much that's good to know! I'll let them make it on there own. I got another batch of eggs so I wanted to transfer some babies to a 26 gallon tank I'm getting ready to set up!
What's the experts best way to raise these babies.
I like letting the male take care of the eggs but I want to be in more control of the babies so I ended up tumbling them.

I move my BNP fry once they are free swimming to a separate tank.

They usually hang out in the cave for a while after they hatch so I just check on them periodically.
