I put together a basic and brief video on raising cory fry the first week.
Thanks to the folks on here for a lot of the help I've received in learning over the last year!

Nice setup, I'm sure you are aware, but thought I'd mention, keep an eye on the food if it's getting wet after dipping the pipette in. It could get moldy quite quickly.

Good luck raising them.

I shake most of the moisture off the pipette, just keep it damp enough to get what I need :)

A toothpick works too

Hi MissPepper,

That's a nice little system you have there. Thanks for sharing. You're nailing it on the frequent water changes and frequent feeding. I think I lose more fry from simply "daily" feedings (vs 2x or 3x / day) than for any other reason besides water quality.

I've never used that brand of first foods. Is it powder? I use uncooked Repashy powder in a similar fashion. I use a tiny spoon and place a small amount in a tube (like a testtube, and add some tank water, then shake it up to wet the food and suspend it, so it won't "expand" in the fish's stomach (as some dry foods are accused of doing).

Cheers, Eric

Agree on the daily water changes, and multiple feedings, that's what it took for me to raise a decent number of S. barbatus recently, 3 feeds a day, they are still on at least 2 feeds a day, often 3 if I remember, at 3+ months after hatching.

I'm sure I've had that food before, maybe in a sample sachet, if I remember correctly it's more of a tiny granule than a powder, I think I fed it to small tetras, and some kribensis fry who seemed to like it.
