Bad English in the FAQ

Post by Silurus »

One FAQ question:
Why do Cory's loose their barbels?
Two mistakes:

Cory's should be Corys (or Cories). Granted that the the word "cory" is not a proper noun, its plural form should not include an apostrophe. "Cory's" would mean either "Cory is" or "belonging to Cory", neither of which makes any sense in the context of the question.

"loose" should be "lose". Loose=not tight. Lose=to not retain.

Apologies for the English lesson.
