Hi,
my older sister just got a L191 baby recently and we notice the wired thing on his tail


It might be tail rot but I want to be sure.

Are you referring to the pink blotch right at the end of the tail?

I'm not sure what that would be, personally I would keep an eye on it for a few more days and see it it improves or changes, before taking any action. Make sure the water is clean, and keep up with water changes while it's being monitored.

Hopefully it will improve without any intervention.

Thanks for the additional information, hopefully, if it's a minor injury from a fight with another fish it should clear up on its own.

Just make sure your sister knows it's important to do regular water changes, and it should be fine.
