Newbie seeks advice please.

Hello all, I am new to this site, and I don't as yet have any catfish, but I hope to remedy this situation asap. I have a 1000 ltr aquaponics tank in my greenhouse in Central London, at the moment it has a few common carp but I would like to add some catfish. Only trouble is, what type would be best. I would be extremely grateful for any pointers the more knowledgeable out there could offer. I want a species that ultimately can be for the table.
