Adding a Golden Nugget Pleco Into My New Aqaurium

I dont know if this is the right place to be talking about this subject as have only been signed up to this website for about 5 minutes but anyways, i have just bought a 160 litre tropical aqaurium to have a community tank as my old one is too small and i wanted to upgrade, one of my favourite fish is a golden nugget pleco but i do not want to buy one for over 30 pounds and then my something fatal happen to it so i was wondering if anyone knows maybey how long i should keep my tank running for before i consider the idea of putting a golden nugget pleco in there, thanks

Gold Nuggets often suffer on import & there is a lot poor quality fish out there. Try to buy from a respected source & get fish that have been wormed already & that have settled & are feeding well without being hollow bellied.
Offer a good mixed range of food with a slightly higher temperature than usual & perhaps increased aeration. Given the possibility of stressed or poor stock i'd wait as long as possible & ensure a really mature tank for a nugget
