San Diego California. Nothing compliments a cichlid aquarium like a beautiful catfish or three or six. Great site!

Hi! I am Cassie from Finland. First aquarium i buy sometimes in fall 2007 and then hobby is today more than hobby its a lifestyle. :ymblushing: Today I have a 317l. tank for catfishes, couple of Pterophyllum scalare and some othet fishes. Then I had 120l. tank for platies only, 165l tank for couple different species ot Characidae groups, corys and couple of Rineloricaria sp. and increasing Cleithracara maronii. Last tank is 80l. where I tried breed Black Venezuela-corys and other fishes too as necessary. I hope that my writing was understandable, because my enlish vocabulary is very poor, sorry. I am very excited to join this forum :d This site is best site in internet if anybody needs information of catfishes!

Hi Everyone,

I'm Mick and I'm from good ol' Yorkshire England.

I've been keeping tropical fish for 25yrs but now I have more time ( don't really it's a myth ! ), to donate to the hobby. Nearly finished my first fish house / room. I love all fish but my faves are:

Surprise Surprise Corys and plecs.

Greeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaat site so huge shout out for the owner ( JOOLS ) and the Moderators....

Cheers N Beers.

Milford, Connecticut, USA, right on the ocean :d : )

Fish (plecos, cories & loaches) have always been my favorites. If only they could create a fish tank in which every surface is a "bottom," like the amazing invention of the "all edges brownie pan," I would be in heaven!

I suppose this would require a few more leaps & bounds in the realm of physics. Oh well :YMDEVIL:

SO glad this resource is here - infinitely useful & interesting -- THANK YOU!

Would love to find local pleco & cory breeders in CT or the surrounding area (anyone?!?)

hello all -

I'm located in Los Angeles area of California - around 2 miles from the ocean (can see it from the backyard).

I've been accessing the planet for a couple years now -- a great source of info and specs on the many cats.

I've been interested in plecos since started fish keeping 5 years ago. I started with a fish only tank 5 years ago. I often caught myself gazing at our good-sized sailfin pleco. Either I was hypnotized by his stoic expression or he was communicating to me - "hey, what's up wiht you?"

I've graduated to two planted aquariums 75 and 40 gallons and have joined a planted tank club, Souther California Aquatic Plant Enthusiasts, http://scapeclub.org. I'm more interested in dwarf plecos to add to my 40 gallon tank. I wish there were more sellers of plecos somewhat local to me.

Does anyone else feel odd having a fish shipped hundreds of miles? I think of the little guy or gal being tumbled around in the darkness (maybe its only me).

Glad to be here and looking forward to learning more about these beautiful fish!

Tom :YMPEACE:
