Looking for quiet air pump. Any experience out there

Looking for quiet air pump to run six 20 gal long sponge filters. The tanks are in my dining room/living room space and need to be quiet.

The linear piston pumps that Jehmco.com sells are very quiet. They have one that can run 26 outlets. They are a little pricey but will last a long time.

A friend of mine is running an Alita from Kensfish and I've seen it in operation and it's super quiet for a pump that puts out that kind of air. He's had it for close to a year now.

I think it's this one. http://www.kensfish.com/aquarium-suppli ... ifold.html

I also run an Alita, could not be more pleased, I would stay away from the linear piston pumps as they are fairly noisy and vibrate a lot.

Dont know what pump ive got its just a tiny thing that sits outside my tank with a tube into the water with a bubble/air block on end, i was given it by a neighbour with my tank.... anyway it vibrates and make a right racket, i mean really loud, what ive done is simply put it on an old wool glove, but you could use a sock or a cloth, not sure if your on about the same kind of thing but hope thats of some help if so??
