L006 or l008

Post by Ericbarber »

I bought this pleco as a l075 but after a year of not growing (just gettin fatter) I'm beginning to this this is actually a peckoltia. Any thoughts or opinions would help.

Yes it is a Peckoltia but need better picture in order to tell if it is

From the pic you provided it seems that there is a line on the end of the dorsal fin.Can you post another pic?

I was hoping it was a para pleco but guess not. How can it be determined that this is not a para pleco it does have some pretty long cheek odontodes if that helps

Also I noticed that this fish doesn't have the two long whiskers that the l075 have on their mouths, and that it is much darker then the pictures of most l075. If anyone could help me confirm the L number that would greatly help.
