Three different Syno. "petricola"

Post by cSplice »

Hello,

Two weeks ago I purchased a Synodontis angelicus and what I believed to be a Synodontis petricola. After doing some more reading on the petricola I decided to purchase another few as they are supposed to be social. I am now worried that I have actually ended up with four catfish, all of whom are different. Each was labelled and sold to me as petricola.

"Silvio" - Synodontis petricola? (~7cm)

Image

"Pauli" - Synodontis lucipinnis? (~7.5cm)

Image

"Junior" - Synodontis tanganaicae? (~11cm)

My questions are:

1. What do you think each fish is? (even if you think it is a hybrid)
2. There appears to be territorial disputes between the fish, will this subside over time, or is Junior simply too big?

Many thanks for looking and I look forward to your replies. Also, yes the angelicus is called Tony.

Silvio is a male and yes an angelicus behind(which you knew)

Pauli is a as well and not 100% sure but should probably be changed to Paulina

Junior is a hybrid

Agreed. The hybrid looks like it may have granulosus as one of the parent fishes.
