This thread reminded me that despite being very popular, there's no common name for in the clog. So, I was wondering what they are sold as in your local area, and what could be added to the clog? I seem to remember in New Zealand they were sold as "gold spot plecos" or something similar.

I'll also look in the standard fish names book, and see what they are called there.

It appears that they are called the "marbled sailfin pleco" in this book, but that name doesn't sound to familiar to me.

Anyone else?

In the UK, I've certainly seen them named "Leopard pleco", which is also a name used in Swedish (Same spelling, different pronunciation).

Around these parts, Petsmart has em in stock pretty often and i think they label them as "Colombian spotted plecos".
