Nice educational stuff. I should have tried it in my 4000 gal basement pond in Rochester NY :) My two 2.5' channels Barb and Lenny looked and behaved as if wanting to have a nesting site.

I sent this to a friend, Robby Maxwell, who is a Fisheries Biologist for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Out here people just make there own. You can use a bathtub, sink, Volkswagen, or whatever. If anything, many of our lakes are overpopulated with small catfish. Noodlers are into catfish boxes.

One cool thing that I've seen taking off in lakes out here are reefs. There are all types made out of all kinds of materials, but the best so far seem to be pvc creations.
