RIP Bob Marklew ("macvsog23")
All,
PlanetCatfish is something of a community. Many of use have met each other in the real world and have formed new friendships often crossing international and other divides. So, I've been asked, and I think it's appropriate, to write a post marking Bob's unexpected death on Tuesday past.
Bob contributed to Planet mainly, but not exclusively, on the complex issue of Hypancistrus identification and breeding and is richer for that. Those of you who knew him well or in any way really, would, I thought, want to know and pay their respects in whatever way they see fit.

Re: RIP Bob Marklew ("macvsog23")
This came as very sad news last week. I met Bob last year in a fish exchange and he struck me as a very genuine and passionate guy, with a healthy respect for the environment and great knowledge of his beloved hypans.
Rest in peace.
Rest in peace.
