L052

Post by iafr11 »

I have recently obtained some wild L052.
They are set up with all the correct parameters but I find they appear to not eat anything that is offered,eg:-algae tablets, bloodworm & cucumber.
What else can I do?
Help would be appreciated before they starve to death.

How long have you had them?

They like soft/acidic water. Mine were eating algae wafers and Tetra Bits and such. They are definitely not a good algae eater, they prefer more meaty food.

Mine are just the opposite, they love algae, the tank is almost clean of algae, the roots looks like they are new, and the youngsters come out to eat, when i throw in algae wafers..

No, algae wafers are fine. But it's a fairly meaty food [applies to NEARLY all algae wafers - they often have 35-40% protein]. Just don't expect them to survive by eating algae on the glass!

Of course I give mine other than algae wafers, In my opinion, they are great algae eaters :d
And I`m not skimpy on feeding them.

Sorry, Tetra bits = Tetra Prima = Tetra Discus depending on where you buy them, and when I first bought it 25 years ago, it was called Tetra Bits in Sweden. Sometimes, my brain seems to find "old" information easier than "newer" information.
