Few IDs please, What Royal species,What Corys and what Cat

Post by protaras »

Hi,

Got a recent import from Peru and wondering what some fish are, firstly what are the corys that are in the picture with the fowleri Corys, and what are the corys that I think are punctatus but searching online I may be wrong.

Secondly what are the Royal L numbers in the pictures, they were imported as L027 but some customers are not so sure and suggest they are another species. I have other pictures of the Royals but can only upload 3 attachments, some look different from one pictured with more broken lines

Many thanks

First Corypic could be a bunch of species...do you have any loaction or maybe country of origin?

The last Corypic show C. fowleri and C96 (the two in the front). Both caught around Iquitos, Peru.

The first Cory pic shows fish imported from Columbia as Puncatus.

The second I knew about the fowleri, the ones I need to know about are the ones at the front, they were from Peru listed as Arcuatus but they dont look like the Arcuatus I used to know, maybe im wrong.

Thanks

The ones in the fromt is C96. Often (wrongly) imported as C. armatus from Peru.

I agree with Kampfer, the 1st corys picture is C.Leucomelas.This corys is often sold as C.Puntatus in the Lfs.
