Hi all
..I have just managed to upload some pic's of my cat's, and now I have to know if somebody can help with a name of this "Peckoltia", I call it P.brevis but don't know if it is a valid name.
The pic's named P1-7 (pic. # 8-14)is the ones.

huh, when I was looking at L-177 in the Cat-eLog I set my eyes on the top left pic and the center right pic. Are these pics of adult and youngsters?

If not, then I would say they have a huge difference in the markings, so huge one should think they are different species. The center right pic shows a pleco with much larger spots then the rest.

Hi!

I would say like you did L177 for the Gold nugget, L205 for the Peckoltia and Panaqolus maccus for the last one!

Cheers

Sorry about the misunderstandings of the pic's name and number, I am not familiar with that photo-thing yet, and have called the Peckoltia pic P1-7 but one are not able to see it one the thumb's. I know it is (or at least bought as) Baryancistrus L177 one he first pic's and it was the Peckoltia I was in doubt with. There were absolutely no clues when I bought them, just 4 small skinny pleco's that I couldn't let go, know they are a little to fat maybe :)
Thanks for the answers, any who have bred these fellows? they are know 10-12 cm and adults i guess.

well Yann did point out that there might be a panaqolus maccus aside from the peckoltia (L205)...sometimes retailers would sell various species and label them as one...and you'd think that they belong to the same species...

glad to hear that you've put them back to good health... :D

yep, I know my P. maccus as well, and they are in another aquarium. Guess I should have made a Photo-library with only the Peckoltias so sort out these things from the beginning. But now I think everything is as clear as its gets.
I just thought that you should see my Bary's as well :) , and there might come more photos just to warn you hehe
