Hybridization

Post by Krafty »

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with hybridization among Cory's.

I have some C. Fowleri and C. Baianhinho II's in the same tank and found about 50 eggs today. When I removed the eggs they were solid, so I believe they are fertile.

I have not had any previous luck with the Fowleri.

The Baianhinho's have been VERY active spawners in the past. The person I got them from has had hundreds of fry. And the males have been chasing the females since I got the fish 2 weeks ago.

Is it possible that the two different species spawned?
