i was referred to this site, i was hoping someone could tell me what my catfish is, i know nothing about it. i bought him/her from a pet store as a $5 corycat, he is now 7" long, i would like to know how big it will get, should i try to find another, etc. here is a pic. http://www.flickr.com/photos/42277334@N04/3917741108/ thanks for any help.

Definately not a cory...it is a Synodontis http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/ge ... enus_id=29
quick guess would be one of the many hybrids that we are seeing lately

i looked through the profiles, didn't see mine. that is disappointing to know that he maybe a hybrid, but he is still really cool looking!

It is hard to say how big it will get being a hybrid...I would like to say it will not get much bigger but 10 inches TL would be possible depending on whether or not is in it's heritage.
