Greetings ^^

Post by batamba »

Hi everyone!

I am a 20 yo college student who recently inherited a planted tank with 6 albino corydora, presumably c. aeneus. This was originally a joint project between myself and the roomie, but she recently moved out leaving me as the sole caretaker. I have always loved catfish and these little guys are just a hoot to watch. One of the biggest of the lot, Cap'n Ahab (recognisable apart from the other fatty Moby by the small notch in her dorsal) took half a blood worm right from my fingers this morning!

Anyways, I look forward to being part of this forum and learning more about the wonderful world of cats. :al:

Welcome to Planet Catfish.

Just out of curiosity, whereabouts in the US are you studying? It would be even better if you filled in a bit more detail (at least state, perhaps also which city/town) in the "Location" in the user-control panel. Not only does it help satisfy peoples curiosity, but also if you ask for advice, we can sometimes give better suggestions (e.g. we can perhaps tell what sort of water conditions there are in the area you live in - but of course for all of the US, tha'ts not feasible, as it varies quite a lot from one state to another). Note: You do not HAVE to do this - it's just a suggestion.

Hello and Welcome to Planet Catfish!

Lots of Cory fans here. Maybe Fatty and Cap'n Ahab are ready to give you some babies? Have you seen any eggs stuck to the glass or any nudging behavior?

I hand feed my Hoplo Cats () - very cool. Haven't tried it with my Corys, I'm too squeamish about the idea of little worms but yours must love that kind of gourmet fare!
Big snakes okay, little worms and I get all screechy.
Racing, shoes and fish. Nothing else matters. Oh, and bacon.
