This is interesting seeing as I was recently told by one well known lfs in england that C Gariepinus (for example) was not available because it was not bred in large numbers. Or rather that it was not bred at all.

Not surprising, given that the food fish and ornamental fish indusry seldom, if ever, cross paths. Large bagrids, claroteids and clariids that are among the staples of aquaculture are seldom seen in the aquarium trade.
