Which one is rare in this hobby? L82 or L133?

Post by Brokenline »

I am thinking of getting one of these. The L82 Ancistrinae or the L133 Scobinancistrus. Am i right to say the L82 has a flatter and longer body than the L133, with uneven dots which is not really white in colour. Appreciate if someone can tell me their max. size as well.

Note the differences in head shape, color and depth of the caudal peduncle.

Hi I prefer L82 cuz they are flatter and there spots are very intese and big. Unlike L133 there are alot of black and white spots type of plecs. This is only my opinion :)

I would also choose the L133. I think the contrast of black with white spots looks really great.

Thanks for the replies..

Plec0maniac, i agree on the part that there are many black and white plecos like L248, LDA33, L142. Although they have their differences, they look almost similar from far. Am i right to say that the L82 stands out in a more unique way?

Kostas, SynoPetri, i really like the combination of black and white, and I've already 5 LDA33 for that! L133 attracts me because it can grow up to a size which the LDA33 cant. I cant imagine how beautiful it would be to see a 1 foot pleco like that!

The L82 is costing more than the L133, and the L133 cost more than the LDA33, is that reasonable? I wouldnt want to pay that extra sum if it's faily common. (LDA33 is consider common here) When was the last time you saw the L82 or L133 in this hobby?

normally the price of L82 is higher than L133, but I think L133 is most difficlty to find than L82 in the fish market.
