Tirashugi catfish-large

I bought this large catfish from my local pet store and it was sold as a tirashugi cat but I have been unable to find anything on a fish by that name. Would anyone have an idea of what it may be called? It is large 20 inches or more and black with stubby fins. The fins may be stunted. He has nubs running down the sides. I would like to be able to look him up and find out more info on him.He is eating shrimp pellets now and is very docile. I have him in a 125g tank and he appears to be doing well so far. Any help would be appreciated!

Being 20 inches long removes quite a few fish from the list, but unfortunatley, there's plenty (hundreds, I would guess) left still...

Here's a few that roughly match your fish:

It's quite possibly none of these, but I thought I'd have a play at the guessing-game..

If you could post a picture of the fish, it would help a whole lot, since it's easier to "see" than it is to read a description - "A picture is worth a thousand words" works well here...

I think that it is a misspelling of "turushuki", that I know as (syn. Pseudodoras niger)

I tried to find something that would match the "Tirashugi", but of course, I didn't trigger on the "nubs", which if I'd seent he picture would have been an obvious key!

Thanks to everyone who answered me, I had trouble getting a picture posted and will have to try again. I am a little bit computer illiterate

It looks alot like the oxydoras niger. The only difference I see in my specimen is that the "hooks" on the sides are not hooks at all but just nubs. Would that just be from inadequate tank conditions? His fins also look shorter than they should be. I found out from the pet store that he was purchased as a juvenile and was brought back and traded because he got too large. His eyes are a bit cloudy too but the tank he had been in at the pet store was a dirty feeder tank and plecos were sucking on him. I am hoping he will get looking better in my larger tank with better water conditions. Thanks again!
