Schizolecis guntheri

Post by Dinyar »

Anyone have any experience keeping Schizolecis guntheri? If so, I would like to hear about it.

BTW, Fishbase spells it "guntheri" while the Catelog "spells it "guentheri". Should I assume FB is correct?

The correct spelling should be "guntheri".
Schizolecis appears to be a cool water fish, much like other otothyrins (and Corydoras barbatus). No personal expereince here, but I have caught the similar Pseudotothyris in cool blackwater streams in southern Brazil.
