Anyone here have a Rena Filstar XP2 filter?
My tubing to the inlet and outlet bars are real gunky and I think I want to replace instead of cleaning them...the plastic tubing is cheap enough..why mess with it. The only problem is I don't remember what the inside diameter of the tubing is. Anyone here know? Measuring the ourside of the tubing won't work..there are different thicknesses of tubings.

5/8" diameter or 16mm size tubing. 3/4" is too large, 1/2" is too small. Here's a link for you. Sometimes 5/8"hose is difficult to find:

In a pinch, you could get the Eheim 16mm green tubing, but it's more money. I always buy extra because I mess up when I cut it.
"Worm clamps" from places like Lowes or Home Depot are good for securing the hose connections that're outside of the tank. I've always had a difficult time finding replacement plastic clamps that fit properly for that filter in particular. The FilStar XP2 was the first canister filter I bought. It served me well for a while. I have it as a back-up now.
