P.S. In a somewhat sad and indirect way, I can finally say, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, that I've got
Rhyacoglanis! From Den Blå Planet, Peter Petersen and his staff sent me tail fin clippings of two wild-caught
for us to use in our DNA study of Peruvian
. These specimens (along with a fin clip from one of my
) will be featured as outgroups within Pseudopimelodidae.
So while we don't have any actual Rhyacoglanis fish, we do have DNA samples from two specimens.

For now, that will need to suffice in my efforts to obtain Rhyacoglanis for my aquaria.
