tankmates for a jaguar catfish?

Post by Andy »

Hi, I've yet to buy a jaguar catfish but I've been wondering what other fish might go well with it. I don't just mean other catfish but also other sorts of fish as well. How smart would it be to have a siamese fighting fish in the same tank for example.

Alhough they are fairly peaceful fish, they will eat smaller tankmates. As a safe bet, most community fish above 3-4 inches (like larger tatras or barbs) are fine.
I've found siamese fighting fishes to be unsuitable for any community tank. They are best kept in a species tank.
