Undergravels for breeding cories?

Post by eupterus »

I am setting up a breeding bank currently and want to look at filter possibilities. I am a fan of the efficiency of undergravels but have not used them in small breeding tanks. The tanks are 18 x 12 x 12. I know alot of breeders use sponge or box filters but wondered if this was choice or neccesity. Any help would be great

I think it is better using a bare bottom tank when breeding. I don't know if wigglers would have trouble getting out of the current between the rock.
I support Water Mart!!! You should too!

I have settled for the interpet double sponge filters. This way I can clean one at a time and maintain bacteria balance. I am now trying to decide on sand or no substrate at all. I think sand but I am unsure as to egg collection problems. Any further help would be great
