Post by Harley »

Hi, im wondering what the price on Clown Pleco´s are usualy. I found 4 of them at my local shop here in sweden at the price of ~ 14 us dollars a piece. Is that a normal price to pay ?

The clown plecos are aproxamatly 2" long so its hard to se any differens between the sexes. Is it even possible ??

Around here they are pretty common. They go for anywhere between $3 and $8.

Thank you all for answering!
I do have som more questions though.

Has anyone here had any succes with breeding these clown plecos ? acording to the catfish of the month Novermber 2001 article it doesnt seem to be that hard to breed them.
What troubles me is this line, "with thrice weekly feedings of frozen foods", what exactly does he meen by frozen food ?

I feel like a stupid swede

Frozen foods generally means frozen live foods, like bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc.
