Abstractâ??Electrical activity of the representatives of genus Synodontis (Mochokidae) during ontogenesis is
studied for the first time with S. nigrita as an example. Specialized electrical activity is revealed in the finger-
lings with length SL 15 mm and age of 20â??25 days. The recorded discharges differ in form and duration from
the previously described discharges of A-type (spontaneous electrical activity) and B-type (response to aggres-
sive behavior). The notion of â??C-type dischargesâ?
