Post by Pleco33 »

Hello, I have been trying to breed this great sp., but the results are not good.. I fell really disapointed.. :( .. I was trying with method of "rainy", changes of water and the consequense...is nothing... :!: .

I have 8 Panaqolus maccus adults, 5 males and 3 females.(Iam sure) they have a lot PVC pives, bogwood and the tanks has 540liters of capacity. Parameters are pH6.8, temp. around 24°-26°C. The filtration has 3 powerhead 402 hagen conected with PVC filter.

They eat cucumber, shrimp, tablets, spirulina, bites of tires molluscan flesh and others vegetables.....

What Can I make it..

Thanks experts.

There are some tips available in the CoTM article for this species.
It does say you may need a few cycles to get them to spawn.
