Hypostomus luteus

Post by Ramon »

BelowWater.com has it on its stocklist. Has anyone had experience keeping this fish? Husbandry requirements - food, water parameters, tank setup, etc.

Here is a picture that Oliver Lucanus sent me. It's a truly spectacular fish that I'm tempted to get and do want to learn more about it. Any info would be appreciated.

It's in the Cat-eLog as . No data, though.

Have seen a 16" specimen before. The spots will be lost when it grows bigger and becomes gold in color in body colour. Some black coloration is still retained on the head portion.
