Cory compatability

Post by aquachromis »

Can I safely add some Corys to a tank with Pimelodus pictus? The info on the pictus says they are peaceful but will eat small fish, I'm just wondering if the Corys would be considered a small fish. I also have a few Ancistrus in the tank along with some more peaceful cichlids (eartheaters, keyholes). I have 4 of the pictus cats and it's a 75 gallon tank.

Thanks,
Adam

So long as you don't want any of the dwarf Corys you should not have a problem, they are well armoured and will be to big for pictus to tackle.

Thanks Ian, that's what I thought but I wanted to make sure. The LFS got some new Corys in earlier this week and I think I may go by and pick up a few tomorrow.
