Help me pick a Synodontis!
Hello everyone!
I just tore down my 30 gallon (just wasn't happy with it) and I would like to keep a pair or small group of a Synodontis sp that can happily reside in such a small tank and something I can possibly breed (overall goal). I'll have to get a list of whats available but I would like some suggestions. Also I should mention that it will be a species tank, just some Synos and some plants and rocks for them to play in.
Regards
James

I can stop keeping catfish whenever I want. I just don't think I'll ever want to do that...

Re: Help me pick a Synodontis!
From what I can gather, only a handful of the many syno species have bred naturally in hobby tanks, including Microsynodontis sp. 1 (a great candidate for your tank) and several Rift Valley species.
I still have two Microsynodontis sp.1s in my ~120x45x55cm tank of small/peaceful fish, they are at least 4.5cm SL these days, having had them for ~3 years now. I'd love to build the group back up to 10+ as I had originally (before regretfully doing a move around where I put them with some Ilyodon xantusi juveniles) , because back then they were very confident and loved swimming at all levels in the strongest current all day long.

Thank you Nobody ;)
I like the and they general idea of such a small species.
I'll have to get a list of species from my supplier but so far there are a few that have stood out to me...
Any thoughts?
It should be noted The larger species I would only keep a pair of.
